Each building got a beautiful 20oz copper ridge cap.  These are secured with a factory applied loop tape on the underside which mates with the Velcro hook on the top of the field slate.

Screw eye in ridge  is accessible by removing the Velcro adhered ridge cap for any future repairs.

Safety ring in ridge is available for any future repairs, accessible by removing Velcro adhered ridge cap. Velcro hook on top slates lock in to Velcro loop on the underside of ridge cap.

Since we own a C02 laser for cutting hook and loop tape, it is often used for engraving items like this cornerstone slate.

The several thousand slate on this job were hand carried up a small hill to the cabins.  The ace ground crew then got them up to the scaffold and up to the roofing crew as needed. Hooray!
