Half The Weight of Traditional Slate
At approximately 4.5 pounds per square foot, our hook and loop installation system halves the weight of a traditional nailed installation. By rolling out a layer of Velcro® adhered rain diverter between courses of slate, we can provide the same watertight protection with less slate overlap. The reduction in weight offered by our Centennial System means the long-lasting durability and natural beauty of slate is now an option for structures not originally engineered for it.
Rapid Installation
Using the same Velcro® brand hook and loop for installation as all of Millennium's building materials, a Centennial roof can be installed in a fraction of the time as a traditional slate roof. For roofing orders, we produce 4'X8' hook boards to use as decking or underlayment to which the tiles and rain diverter attach. There is no easier or quicker way to install a slate roof than with Millennium's Centennial System.
Hurricane Tested
Our Centennial System has been certified as compliant with ASTMD 3161 Class F and with FM4475 up to 160 MPH. What does this mean? Our Velcro® adhered roofing system can withstand hurricane force winds up to 160 MPH without failing. We use the same industrial-strength Velcro® on all our products, meaning you can rest assured that your home improvement project will hold up to even the most severe of conditions.
